We are currently supporting a large pharmaceutical manufacturing site in Schaffhausen with a Facilities Engineer position focused on building safety and fire safety. This is a strong opportunity for an engineer with experience in facilities, building safety, fire protection, technical services or safety-related project delivery who wants to work in a regulated manufacturing environment. Responsibilities
Plan and execute building safety and fire safety projects, including sprinkler upgrades and safety hardware upgrades Act as a subject matter expert for fire safety and building safety topics on site Support inspections, audits and interaction with local authorities Maintain risk assessments, technical documentation and training materials Coordinate maintenance, inspections and repair activities related to building and fire safety systems Work closely with EHS, Engineering, Facilities and Operations teams Support project management activities from planning through execution and close‑out Ensure work is carried out safely and in line with site procedures and regulatory expectations Requirements
Engineering degree or equivalent technical qualification Experience in building safety, fire safety, facilities engineering or technical services Experience managing or supporting technical projects Strong technical understanding with willingness to learn site‑specific systems Experience in regulated manufacturing, pharmaceutical, chemical, MedTech or GMP environments is an advantage Fire protection training such as Brandschutzfachperson, VKF, AEAI, CFPA or Swissi is a strong advantage
