Liferay is seeking a Junior Pre-Sales Solutions Architect to help shape the digital future of businesses. In this role, you'll be the bridge between cutting-edge technology and real-world business needs, focusing specifically on the pre-sales phase of the commercial cycle.
This is an excellent opportunity for Developers, or technical professionals looking to transition their career into a more strategic, customer-facing role without losing touch with architecture and technology. You will support the creation of product demos, technical solution proposals, architectures, and commercial collateral, specifically targeting opportunities in the EMEA North region.
We are a distributed and collaborative Pre-Sales team. We believe there are no boundaries between technical mastery, software engineering, and storytelling. As a junior member, you will receive close, hands-on, in-person mentorship and training from our local team in Frankfurt to ensure your cultural integration and role mastery.
Learn & Grow: Continuously develop your technical skills, pre-sales methodologies, and cloud architecture knowledge through an intensive onboarding and close mentorship program.
Product Demonstrations: Create and conduct attractive, solution-based product demonstrations that showcase the power of Liferay’s platform to prospects and customers during the pre-sales cycle.
Technical Proposal Support: Assist in building persuasive technical proposals, RFIs/RFPs, and high-level architecture diagrams that address client pain points.
Architecture Definition: Learn to define implementation architectures, developing deep expertise in Liferay technologies and understanding how modern web applications and cloud services are constructed.
Collaboration: Partner closely with the sales and technical teams to formulate technical strategies and drive adoption of Liferay Cloud solutions.
Tech Evangelism: Participate in architectural discussions, workshops, and roadshows to educate customers on the value proposition of Liferay.
- A solid understanding of web technologies (Java, JavaScript, etc.), backend languages (Java, Spring Boot, Python, etc..) and a passion for learning new things.
- Experience designing/implementation/consulting experience with web based applications and/or Digital Experience Platforms/CMS
- Skilled at presenting to both large and small audiences (Executives, IT Management, and developers)
- Experience with business requirements gathering, technical specifications, architecture diagrams, development, testing, and deployment.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies, like AI, and learn quickly.
- Ability to identify challenges and craft innovative solutions.
- Excellent communication skills with an ability to confidently lead technical and/or business discussions, and ability to articulate complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong written communication skills, with a can-do spirit and a love for working with people.
- Excellent prioritization, organization, and time management skills; ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to travel up to 20% of the time to customer/prospect sites, including international travel.
- Technical degree required: Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent
- Excellent German and English (reading, writing and speaking).
- Experience with Liferay technologies or similar solutions
- Experience with front end development (HTML, CSS, Javascript, React, Angular) and JAVA/OSGi development.
- Technical degree: Computer Science, Engineering , Data Science or equivalent
- Working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies
- Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud
- Industry expert in at least one particular domain, vertical or platform: DXP, Cloud, etc.
- An advanced degree in marketing, computer science, MIS, engineering or related discipline
- A third language such as Portuguese will be an additional advantage
