For the Membranes and Electrochemical Cells Group of the Electrochemistry Laboratory we are looking for a Postdoctoral Fellow for Ionomer Contamination Effects in Water Electrolyzers

Your tasks

  • Study the effect of cationic contaminants in proton exchange membranes for water electrolysis cells (collaboration with industry)
  • Understand effect of specific cations on membrane properties
  • Characterize single cell performance characteristics and durability attributes
  • Devise and implement methods for decontamination
  • Supervise undergraduate students in research projects
  • Publish results in international leading scientific journals, disseminate results at international conferences

Your profile

  • University degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Materials Science
  • Doctorate in the area of ion exchange membranes or membrane-based electrochemical cells
  • Solid background in Electrochemistry
  • Experience in supervision of student’s projects
  • Well-developed communication skills and good command of the English language (spoken & written)
