The Opportunity
We are supporting an established German end customer seeking an experienced Freelance Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Consultant to provide ongoing ERP support during a period of internal transition.
This is a flexible, predominantly remote engagement, ideal for an independent consultant with strong Business Central expertise and experience across manufacturing, production and warehouse processes.
The focus is on functional consulting, process optimisation and quality assurance, rather than hands‑on development.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide functional support and guidance across Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
- Support manufacturing, production, warehousing and batch‑management processes.
- Review existing ERP processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Oversee and quality‑check solutions delivered by external implementation partners.
- Support Business Central integrations, including e‑commerce platforms.
- Assist internal stakeholders and end users with functional issues.
- Ensure knowledge transfer and continuity during an internal IT leadership transition.
Your Experience
- Strong functional expertise in Microsoft Dynamics NAV / Business Central.
- Proven experience within manufacturing or process‑manufacturing environments.
- Good understanding of production, warehousing, inventory and batch management.
- Experience working directly with end customers and external implementation partners.
- Ability to challenge technical solutions from a functional and business perspective.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent German speaker, based in Germany.
- Duration: Initially 6 to 12 months.
- Remote Working: Fully remote initially, with occasional visits to Bremen.
- Workload: Approximately 20 to 30 hours per month initially, with potential to increase depending on project requirements.
- Flexibility: Ad hoc support with no fixed weekly commitment.
- Rate: Competitive hourly rate, dependent on experience.
