Then we want you to apply! /ph3bResearch Associate / Research Scientist, USP /b /h3pto contribute to vaccine development through recombinant protein expression and bacterial fermentation. /ppbYour responsibilities /b /ppIn this role, you will: /pulliPerform, analyze, and plan USP experiments at laboratory scale in accordance with established plans, timelines, and project priorities. /liliAnalyze recombinantly produced vaccine candidates using techniques such as SDS-PAGE, Western blotting, and related analytical methods. /liliEstablish and perform in-process controls (IPCs) to characterize fermentation intermediates, support process optimization, and monitor fermentation performance. /liliContribute to the development and optimization of recombinant protein expression and bacterial fermentation processes for vaccine research projects. /liliMaintain laboratories and equipment in a clean, safe, and fully operational condition in accordance with applicable safety and operational standards. /liliIdentify and provide solutions to technical and scientific challenges arising during research activities. /liliCollaborate effectively with colleagues within and outside the Research team to support project objectives and ensure efficient execution of research activities. /li /ulpbWhat we are looking for /b /ppYou are an efficient, proactive, and enthusiastic team player who enjoys hands-on laboratory work, takes ownership of your activities, and is motivated to continuously learn and develop in a laboratory-focused technical role. You combine a strong practical and theoretical background in bacterial fermentation and heterologous protein expression with a structured and solution-oriented approach to your work. Ideally, you bring: /pulliAn MSc degree in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Molecular Microbiology, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution. /liliPractical experience and solid knowledge of bacterial fermentation and heterologous protein expression systems. /liliProven hands-on experience and in-depth knowledge of laboratory-scale bacterial fermentation using modern bioreactor systems such as DasBox. /liliA structured, reliable, and solution-oriented working style, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team. /liliGood verbal and written communication skills in English. /li /ulpThe working place is in Schlieren near Zürich, easily accessible by public transportation.
