Head of Process Development AS (m/f/d) in Pullach

What you will enjoy doing

• You will lead the global Process Development AS team, comprised of experts with profound knowledge in the selection and development of state-of-the-art cryogenic process cycles for air separation projects of Linde Gas and third-party clients worldwide
• A key responsibility of this role is to ensure the overall quality and accuracy of process calculations as the fundamental basis for proposals and for the preparation of comprehensive process data packages as corner stone for the project execution
• You will drive, motivate, and empower a global team of engineers across multiple countries, setting an example and nurturing a vibrant culture of innovation and collaboration across diverse cultures and time zones
• In collaboration with product management and/or R&D, you will play a key role in the development of new products and improvements within the AS portfolio
• In addition, you will support commissioning managers on AS plant sites worldwide for process related issues and in case of troubleshooting and you will promote the systematic use of plant data, advanced analytics, and AI-supported methodologies to continuously improve model accuracy, process performance, and design methodologies
• In collaboration with Digitalization team, you will drive the transformation of process engineering workflows through digitalization, automation, and AI-enabled engineering tools to increase productivity, consistency, quality, and scalability of process calculations across the organization
• You will be responsible for releasing new and maintain and update existing guidelines and standards related to Process and Conceptual Engineering, applying new learnings and new technologies whenever necessary

What makes you great

• You hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Chemical, Process or a related Engineering field
• With more than 10 years of progressively responsible experience in conceptual design and/or process engineering, and project execution for industrial gas projects, you have demonstrated a strong track record in leadership roles
• Driving organizational and cultural change is something you excel at, including developing multi-skilled engineering teams
• As someone who is comfortable leading a diverse, global, and collaborative team, you adapt solutions to various operational contexts with ease
• Exceptional leadership, team building, and communication skills are among your strengths, enabling you to engage, align, and inspire stakeholders at all levels
• With a strategic mindset and innovative approach, you implement best practices in conceptual design and propose integrating digital tools
• You possess a strong passion for digital transformation and have demonstrated experience in automation of engineering processes, digital engineering platforms, data analytics, AI-based solutions, or advanced process simulation tools
• You are fluent in English, and additional language skills are considered a plus
• You value building strong relationships by regularly meeting your team members and are willing to travel to foster these connections
