Contract Opportunity: Dynamics 365 F&O (Finance) ArchitectLocation: Remote (Occasional travel)Contract Length: 6–12 months initially (with strong potential for extension)Start Date: ASAPRate: Competitive day rateClient: ConsultancyOverview:Cognitive is working with a leading global consultancy to source a seasoned Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations Architect, with a primary focus on Finance modules, for a large-scale ERP transformation program. This is a long-term contract engagement where you\’ll serve as the lead architect on the Finance workstream, helping a multinational client modernize and unify their financial systems using D365 F&O.The role requires deep technical and functional expertise in D365 Finance modules—including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, fixed assets, financial reporting, and intercompany/multi-entity consolidation.Key Responsibilities:Lead the architectural design and governance of D365 Finance solutions across multiple business unitsTranslate financial and operational business requirements into scalable, efficient D365 solutionsDesign end-to-end processes in areas such as GL, AP/AR, budgeting, fixed assets, cash & bank, and financial reportingSupport complex scenarios like multi-entity rollups, multi-currency reporting, and intercompany transactionsCollaborate closely with finance stakeholders, solution consultants, and technical teams to ensure successful implementationIntegrate D365 F&O Finance with third-party systems (e.g., tax engines, reporting tools, treasury platforms)Oversee technical delivery, data migration, security roles, and testing for the finance workstreamGuide the consultancy’s delivery teams with best practices and architectural oversightRequired Skills & Experience:5+ years of experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX / D365 Finance & Operations, with recent focus on the Finance modulesProven track record leading D365 Finance implementations for enterprise clientsDeep understanding of GL, AP, AR, fixed assets, budgeting, financial reporting, and period-end processesExperience with multi-entity, multi-currency setups and local regulatory reportingFamiliarity with Microsoft cloud architecture (Azure) and Power Platform integrationsStrong communication skills with the ability to engage finance stakeholders and senior leadershipPrior experience in architect or lead consultant roles on global ERP programs.Desirable:Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Finance Functional Consultant or Solution Architect ExpertExperience with localization, tax compliance, and statutory reporting across multiple jurisdictionsBackground in financial services, professional services, or complex holding structuresFamiliarity with DevOps practices and lifecycle tools for Dynamics 365
