A leading international general contractor is actively recruiting a Health & Safety Manager for a large Data Centre project in Frankfurt. As the Health & Safety Manager you will be number one in this field on site and report directly to a visiting Head of Health & Safety. This contractor specialises in the delivery of complex mission critical infrastructure.The mission critical sector is the fastest growing sector in construction right now and the need for data centre infrastructure continues to grow at a steady rate as does the need for more talent in the sector. With a steady pipeline of work for the coming years, it is an exciting time to be joining this contractor.The ideal candidate ideally will have a proven track record of managing large scale data centre or life sciences projects on time and within budget, but candidates with a strong commercial or industrial background will also be considered Responsibilities:Assist in developing and implementing EHS strategies and policies to:Help ensure the safety of all employees, contractors and visitorsEnsure ongoing legal complianceKeep up to date with current UK legislation and industry best practice and share this information with site staffTake a key role in maintaining/improving our overall safety performance and that of our supply chain partnersAttend all pre-commencement meetings and agree which RAMS need your reviewReview Risk Assessment and Method Statements (RAMS) as requiredSit with and mentor site management teams in site set up, preparing H&S documents or presentations such as RAMS, toolbox talks, etc.Perform periodic site inspections and prepare relevant audit reportsAttend internal project meeting to discuss specific issues when activities on site requireTake the lead in accident investigations Requirements:NEBOSH or other relevant H&S Qualification essentialExcellent knowledge of H&S requirements in UK Construction IndustryGood knowledge of current technical building requirementsAbility to build strong working relationships with a wide range of peopleExcellent communication and negotiation skillsProactive with strong problem-solving abilityIf you would like to apply for this role, please forward your latest CV using the email link provided.
