Position: Resident Doctor – Oncology OutpatientsLocation: Leaders in Oncology Care, 95-97 Harley Street LOC, London W1G 6AF.Contract Type: Full time (FTE) or Part TimeShift Hours: (Monday-Friday: operational hours mostly 8-6pm or 10 – 8pm).Salary: Starting Salary from £62,000 and upwardsAbout The Leaders In Oncology CarePart of the award-winning HCA Healthcare UK private healthcare group, Leader in Oncology (LOC) is a private cancer treatment centre at the forefront of cancer care, offer a range of tried-and-tested treatments including chemotherapy, immunotherapy and hormone therapy as well as the latest innovation in oncology therapies.About The RoleYour role as a Clinical Fellow/Specialty Registrar is vital to the fantastic work achieved by our colleagues, and you will provide medical cover to the outpatient chemotherapy day unit.You will also be responsible for checking outpatient prescriptions and protocols and approving medication. You will establish great relationships with a large pool of outpatients, as well as work closely with world-renowned experts within the medical field.Successful candidates will work within a team of oncology specialists to develop a personalised private patient treatment plan, tailored towards patient unique needs and diagnosis.You will deliver an integrative approach to cancer care that supports patients physical, emotional and spiritual needs in the outpatients setting.As the specialist doctor on shift you will be responsible for medically assess patients receiving chemotherapy treatment and manage any emergencies which may arise with the guidance of the consultant in charge.This role is Monday-Friday, no night, no weekends, and no on-call.What You Will BringThis role is suitable for Registrar Level Doctors with Knowledge of managing complications/side-effect of immunotherapy, chemotherapy and targeted therapiesMBBS medical qualificationGMC registration and current licence to practiceMRCP (Preferred)Evidence of Specialist training in Internal Medicine, specifically Oncology and ChemotherapyWhy HCA UK?Originally founded over 50 years ago by Dr Thomas Frist, HCA has gone on to become one of the world’s leading healthcare providers.
