The Company:

Our client is an international manufacturer of coated, laminated and metallised films serving a diverse range of industries such as packaging, FMCG, aerospace, automotive, insulation, textiles and medical. As part of their ambitious plans for growth, the company is seeking a leader in sales and business development.

The Role:

  1. Strategic Development:
    Identification and evaluation of new business opportunities, markets, and partnerships to drive company growth.
    Collaboration and alignment with management, including budget preparation.
  2. Project Management:
    Planning, execution, and monitoring of project deadlines in the area of New Business.
    Coordination of internal and external stakeholders up to machine trials and product qualification with customers.
  3. Operational Business:
    Direct support and further development of key customers.
    Analysis of sales key figures and updating the sales forecast.
  4. Team Leadership:
    Leading and developing the Business Development team consisting of two Business Development Managers.
    Managing the Customer Service team with three employees.
  5. Market Research:
    Conducting market analyses and competitive monitoring to derive strategic recommendations.
  6. Network Development:
    Building and maintaining relationships with potential customers, partners, and industry representatives.
  7. Budget Responsibility:
    Planning and monitoring budgets and resources for Business Development projects.

Candidate Profile:

  1. Technical or commercial training or studies.
  2. Extensive sales experience in the field of plastics processing, the packaging industry, or surface coating, preferably in the processing of web-shaped materials.
  3. Experience in team leadership.
  4. Strong customer-oriented thinking and action.
  5. Hands-on mentality combined with a structured working approach and excellent analytical skills.
  6. Excellent teamwork and communication skills, confidence, and positivity.
  7. Business-fluent English skills, both spoken and written.
  8. Willingness to travel internationally.
