Overview
In this Electrical Design Lead role, you will own the electrical design function for high-value data centre and pharmaceutical projects across Germany and Europe. You will act as the senior technical authority, collaborating with clients and multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, compliant, and resilient systems from concept to commissioning. The position offers remote/hybrid flexibility and a chance to shape electrical design strategy on technically demanding programmes. You will drive design quality, mentor engineers, and contribute to long-term growth of a UK-based consultancy.

Verantwortungsbereiche
- Lead electrical design delivery across data centre and pharmaceutical projects
- Own design quality, compliance and client standards
- Develop and review HV/LV systems, UPS, generators, power distribution, and resilience strategies
- Coordinate electrical designs with mechanical, CSA, and process teams
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, international standards, and client specifications
- Provide technical leadership through all project stages including construction and commissioning
- Interface with clients, contractors, and key stakeholders
- Support value engineering, constructability reviews, and risk management
- Mentor and develop junior and intermediate electrical engineers
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
- 10+ years’ experience in electrical building services design
- Strong background in data centres and/or pharmaceutical facilities
- Proven experience leading electrical design teams on complex projects
- In-depth knowledge of HV/LV systems, critical power, and redundancy philosophies
- Confident client-facing professional with strong communication skills
- Ability to operate autonomously in a senior leadership role
- Comfortable working in a hybrid / remote model with travel as required
