Our client is a 2bn turnover, Tier:1 main contractor operating across the UK, Ireland & Europe. They undertake major, complex schemes with a particular emphasis on Data Centres, Pharmaceutical and Life Science projects.
Due to continued growth in the region of their Data Centre projects division, our client is now seeking a Commercial Manager on a Data Centre construction project in Frankfurt, Germany.Responsibilities
• Commercial Management & Cost Control
Take responsibility for the commercial management of key packages on a large-scale data centre construction project in Frankfurt, monitoring costs, budgets, cash flow. Financial performance to protect project margins and support successful delivery.
• Contract Administration & Subcontractor Management
Manage the commercial aspects of subcontractor and supplier agreements, including procurement, valuations, variations, payment applications and final accounts, ensuring contractual obligations are met and commercial risks are effectively managed.
• Change Management & Risk Mitigation
Identify, assess and manage commercial risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle. Oversee variations, compensation events and change control processes, ensuring all changes are accurately valued, properly documented and commercially agreed.
• Financial Reporting & Forecasting
Prepare and maintain accurate commercial reports, cost forecasts and financial updates, providing senior project and commercial leadership with clear visibility of project performance, potential liabilities and anticipated outturn costs.
• Stakeholder Collaboration & Commercial Governance
Work closely with project management, procurement, planning and site teams to maintain strong commercial controls across the project. Ensure commercial processes are followed consistently, contractual issues are addressed promptly and the project is delivered in line with the main contractor’s financial and contractual objectives.Requirements
Must have relevant degree level qualifications or equivalent trades background
Must have 10+ years’ experience in a similar role on large scale construction projects including Data Centres
Must have EU Passport or RTW in GermanyBenefits
