Project: Hyperscale Data Centre ConstructionOur client is a leading data centre construction contractor delivering major hyperscale projects across Europe. They are seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to oversee the commercial management of a large-scale data centre project in Frankfurt, Germany. Responsibilities:
- Take responsibility for the commercial management of the project, ensuring effective cost control, contractual compliance and financial performance.
- Manage the commercial team, overseeing quantity surveying, cost reporting, procurement and subcontract administration.
- Monitor project budgets, forecasts, cash flow and financial reporting, identifying commercial risks and opportunities.
- Manage subcontractor procurement, tendering, negotiations, appointments and ongoing commercial performance.
- Oversee valuations, applications for payment, variations, change control and final account negotiations.
- Administer main contract and subcontract agreements, ensuring contractual obligations and notices are managed effectively.
- Work closely with project management, engineering and procurement teams to manage costs and maximise commercial performance.
- Identify, assess and mitigate commercial and contractual risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare regular commercial reports and provide financial updates to senior management and the client.
- Ensure commercial procedures, documentation and reporting comply with company policies and project requirements.Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Commercial Manager on large-scale construction projects.
- Strong commercial and contractual background, ideally within data centres or other mission-critical environments.
- Experience managing commercial teams, subcontract procurement, cost control and contract administration.
- Strong understanding of construction contracts, variations, valuations and final accounts.
- Excellent negotiation, leadership, financial management and stakeholder communication skills.
- Relevant commercial, quantity surveying or construction qualification, or equivalent industry experience.Package:
