Project: Hyperscale Data Centre ConstructionOur client is a leading data centre construction contractor delivering major hyperscale projects across Europe. They are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Project Manager to lead the delivery of mechanical packages on a large-scale data centre project in Frankfurt, Germany. Responsibilities:
- Take overall responsibility for the delivery of mechanical packages, ensuring works are completed safely, on programme, within budget and to the required quality standards.
- Manage mechanical project teams, subcontractors and specialist suppliers throughout the construction and delivery phases.
- Oversee the installation of HVAC systems, pipework, pumps, valves, mechanical plant and associated building services.
- Develop and monitor construction programmes, resource plans and progress reports, implementing corrective actions where required.
- Manage project budgets, procurement activities, subcontractor performance and commercial risks associated with the mechanical package.
- Coordinate with design, CSA, electrical, commissioning and project management teams to ensure effective integration across all disciplines.
- Review technical submissions, drawings, specifications and method statements, ensuring compliance with project requirements.
- Monitor quality assurance, health and safety performance and compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
- Lead project meetings, manage technical issues and maintain effective communication with the client and key stakeholders.
- Oversee testing, commissioning, project documentation and final handover of mechanical systems.Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Senior Mechanical Project Manager or Mechanical Project Manager on large-scale construction projects.
- Strong mechanical building services background, ideally within data centres or other mission-critical environments.
- Demonstrable experience managing complex mechanical packages, subcontractors, project budgets and construction programmes.
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, mechanical plant, pipework and commissioning requirements.
- Excellent leadership, commercial awareness, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Relevant mechanical engineering qualification or equivalent industry experience.Package:
