Overview
In this role you lead the mechanical design strategy for flagship data centre and pharmaceutical projects across Europe. You work with clients, project managers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure technical excellence and compliant delivery from concept to handover. You drive design quality, risk mitigation, and constructability, shaping high-impact facilities. You’ll mentor engineers and own the delivery of critical mechanical systems in a collaborative, design-led environment.

Verantwortungsbereiche
- Lead mechanical design delivery across data centre and pharmaceutical projects
- Own design quality, technical compliance, and client standards
- Manage and coordinate mechanical design teams and external consultants
- Develop and review HVAC, cooling, ventilation, and specialist mechanical systems
- Ensure designs meet local and international codes, standards, and best practice
- Interface directly with clients, contractors, and stakeholders
- Support value engineering, constructability reviews, and risk mitigation
- Provide technical input during construction, commissioning, and handover phases
- Mentor and develop junior and intermediate engineers
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering
- 10+ years’ experience in mechanical building services design
- Strong background in data centres and/or pharmaceutical facilities
- Proven experience leading mechanical design teams and complex projects
- Deep technical knowledge of HVAC, cooling strategies, and critical environments
- Confident client-facing professional with excellent communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously within a senior leadership position
