In this role you lead electrical design for a hyperscale data centre in Frankfurt, ensuring compliance with international standards and client requirements. You will drive integrated M&E solutions and mentor junior engineers within a cross-disciplinary team. You shape design decisions from concept through delivery, focusing on reliability, safety and sustainability. Verantwortungsbereiche
- Lead electrical design packages for hyperscale power systems (distribution, UPS, switchgear, emergency power, backups)
- Coordinate with mechanical, CSA, and architectural teams for integrated designs
- Review and approve design calculations, drawings, and specifications
- Lead value engineering, design optimisation, and buildability reviews
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and consultants to maintain design intent and quality
- Mentor and guide junior electrical engineers on the project
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and sustainability requirements
- Support construction-stage queries, site coordination, and commissioning
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
- Extensive experience designing electrical systems for hyperscale or mission-critical data centres
- Strong understanding of power distribution, UPS, standby generation, and redundancy
- Proven experience leading electrical design teams on large-scale, technically complex projects
- Familiarity with BIM and other digital design coordination tools
- Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills
- Fluency in English; German advantageous
- Willingness to be based in Frankfurt for the project duration
