Value: Major Hyperscale Data Centre Development Our client is a leading international main contractor specialising in the delivery of hyperscale data centres and mission-critical infrastructure across Europe.
They are seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join the project team delivering a major hyperscale data centre development in Düsseldorf.
Working alongside the construction and engineering teams, you will play a key role in coordinating site engineering activities, ensuring works are delivered safely, accurately and in accordance with the project programme and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day engineering support to the site management team throughout the construction programme.
- Set out works and ensure all construction activities are carried out in accordance with project drawings and specifications.
- Review engineering drawings & technical documentation, identifying and resolving any potential issues.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, consultants and design teams to ensure works are delivered to programme.
- Monitor construction progress and ensure works are completed to the required quality standards.
- Maintain accurate site records, surveys, inspection reports and as-built documentation.
- Assist with the management of RFIs, technical queries and design changes.
- Ensure compliance with project quality assurance procedures and inspection test plans (ITPs).
- Support health and safety initiatives and ensure engineering activities comply with company and client requirements.
- Attend coordination meetings and contribute to effective project planning and delivery.
- Assist with commissioning preparations and project handover activities.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Site Engineer, Setting Out Engineer or Project Engineer within the construction industry.
- Experience working on data centres, mission-critical facilities, commercial, industrial, pharmaceutical or major infrastructure projects is highly desirable.
- Degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related engineering discipline.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, engineering principles and quality control procedures.
- Experience using surveying equipment and interpreting technical drawings.
- Familiarity with QA/QC processes, ITPs and construction documentation.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills with the ability to work effectively alongside multidisciplinary project teams.
- Strong organisational skills with a proactive approach to problem solving.
