Business Analyst (Data & Reporting) – Corporate Banking (m/f/d)
We are looking for a Business Data Analyst to support our Corporate Banking team – someone who understands the business, works confidently with data and reporting, and acts as a key link between Business, Data and Finance.
You will sit close to the business, translate requirements into clear data needs, and help turn complex data into simple, actionable insights.
This role is strongly business-focused – a solid understanding of Corporate Banking and its business processes is essential.
What you will work on
Data Quality & Controls
- Safeguard data quality across the Corporate Data Domain.
- Run data‑quality checks, analyse gaps and drive corrective actions.
- Identify root causes and set preventative controls.
Data Stewardship
- Own the Corporate First Line Data Domain from a business perspective.
- Maintain key data elements, definitions and business rules.
- Promote data ownership and literacy; align with Data Governance.
Data Analysis & Business Enablement
- Analyse client, product, portfolio and risk data.
- Deliver clear insights that support business decisions.
- Spot trends, data gaps and optimisation opportunities.
- Ensure reporting logic and definitions are documented and controlled.
Dashboards & Reporting
- Translate business questions into reporting requirements.
- Build and improve dashboards (Power BI/Tableau).
- Automate recurring analyses.
Data Flows & Documentation
- Map data sources, flows and system interfaces.
- Keep documentation of data lineage accurate and up to date.
Stakeholder Management & Projects
- Be the go‑to person for data‑related topics.
- Support change initiatives and cross‑team projects.
- Drive standardisation, automation and scalability.
What you bring
- Solid experience in a banking or financial services environment (ideally Corporate Banking)
- Good understanding of corporate banking products or business processes
- Experience working with business stakeholders and translating business needs into data or reporting requirements
- Comfortable working with data and reports (e.g. analysing, validating, interpreting data )
- Strong SQL knowledge (ability to query data and understand results)
- Strong communication skills and a proactive, hands-on mindset
- Excellent English skills; Dutch or German is an advantage.
