The role is within the Berlin Finance team and will assist in driving change within the Finance team. This role supports the Senior Manager Finance Systems and Change in coordinating finance input and resourcing for change projects at both local and group levels. The role will participate in various projects, including planning, requirements gathering, and testing. Additionally, this role will support finance simplification projects and automation initiatives, acting as a change ambassador for finance with other departments. The role will report to the Senior Manager Finance Systems and Change and is based in Berlin.
Your tasks:
- Support effective communication and collaboration between Finance and other departments during change initiatives
- Participate in Finance projects, including planning, requirements gathering, resourcing, prioritization, delivery, and testing
- Assist in tracking project timelines and ensuring milestones are met
- Support Finance simplification projects aimed at streamlining processes and improving efficiency. Assisting in automation initiatives between systems to enhance data accuracy and reduce manual workload
- Act as a change ambassador for Finance, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and innovation
- Provide updates on project progress to the Senior Manager Finance Systems and Change and other relevant parties
- Assist in identifying potential risks associated with change projects and developing mitigation strategies.
- Demonstrate the core LBG values and behaviors individually, as a Finance Change Accountant and as an active team member.
- Foster a strong financial control culture and ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and internal policies
Your knowledge/experience:
- Bachelor’s degree with focus on finance and/or accounting or commercial education with focus on finance and/or accounting with several years of experience in accounting and/or financial related positions
- Very Good accounting skills in an IFRS/HGB environment (banking experience preferred), with an interest in change management or project management
- Proficient in Excel, accounting software-ideally Oracle
- Very Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proactive, enthusiastic & motivated team player, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Ability to consistently produce accurate work within tight timescales
- Very Good verbal and written communications skills in German and English
