About The Role
NinjaOne is searching for an experienced Localization QA Specialist to ensure our Japanese product and documentation translations meet the highest quality standards. Reporting directly to the Localization Manager, this role is central to ensure all Japanese content across product, documentation, marketing, and sales collateral uphold the high standards of quality our English customers are already accustomed to. Through your intimate knowledge about Japanese culture and user expectations, you will be a key resource to ensure our Japanese Go-To-Market initiative will be a success.
You will use your localization experience to make sure our SaaS platform delivers a native language experience for our customer base, consisting of Japanese Managed Service Providers and Internal IT Departments. This includes the translation of English assets into Japanese, reviewing vendor translations in our UI, and post-editing documentation articles. In this role, you will also create style guides and glossaries to train our vendors and establish localization best practices to make sure Japanese linguistic nuances meet the expectations of our IT audience in Japan.
Location- Berlin, Germany or Remote anywhere in Germany
What You’ll Be Doing
- Localization Post Editing: Linguistic Quality Assurance (LQA) of translated content from our vendors as well as MT output (from English into Japanese)
- Translation for product and documentation: Translate content using CAT-Tools (memoQ) from English into Japanese
- Quality Assurance: Conduct continuous QA checks on different asset types like UI/UX, documentation articles, sales collateral, etc.
- UX Testing & Bug Resolution: Find and solve problems in our product and communicate localization best practices to different stakeholders
- Terminology Management: Build and maintain our glossaries and style guides to ensure linguistic consistency
- Vendor Training: Collaborate with LSPs to enhance the delivery quality of future translations
- Localization Best Practices: Use industry best practices to optimize our processes and become more effective over time
- Other duties as needed
About You
- Native Japanese speaker with exceptional English language proficiency: You are able to localize highly technical content from English to Japanese, targeting a professional B2B audience of IT specialists that are using the NinjaOne SaaS platform to manage their endpoint portfolio
- Product/ QA Localization/ Internationalization Experience: You have previous work experience with SaaS product localization and quality assurance workflows (preferably on the buyer side in the field of IT)
- CAT-Tool and Terminology Management Experience: You have used Translation Management Systems in the past and are able to create and maintain style guides and glossaries to guarantee linguistic consistency across vendors
- User-Orientation: The expectations of your target audience motivate you to deliver a native product experience
- Communication: You are dependable and possess strong interpersonal communication skills. You help create necessary processes and best practices to reach the next maturity level.
- Self-Starter: You take ownership of tasks, displaying initiative and proactivity
- Versatility: You understand that a language launch is a multi-faceted adventure, challenging you to jump into action wherever your specialist knowledge is needed the most
- Experience working with MemoQ, Jira, and/or JSON is a big plus
