You will be at the intersection of hardware, software, and operations. Your are going to leverage your deep full-stack understanding of robotics systems to greatly impact the performance of our robot fleet. You will push our systems to failure and closely collaborate with engineers across hardware and software to figure out where and how improvements can be made, you will build the processes to run our tests, and you will work closely with the operations team to build testing environments that challenge our systems. /p pbWhat you'll be doing /b /p ul liDefine the testing processes intended to make edge-case issues surface /li liDesign the testing rigs and mock-up environments to increase our testing capacity and coverage /li liManage a team of robot operators in charge of running the test jobs you plan /li liBuild systems to improve the feedback loops between the testing and RD teams /li liContribute to the engineering solutions of many of the problems you identify across hardware and software /li liPlan and oversee release testing, and manage the hardware and software releases of our system /li /ul pbWhat you should have /b /p ul li3+ years building robotics systems in a professional settings across hardware and software, to deeply understand the system you're testing /li liLinux fluency such as bash, containers, systemd, networking /li liExcellent interpersonal skills, to interface with everyone on the engineering team and manage a team of robot operators /li liExcellent organizational skills, to navigate messy environments and a lot of noise /li liHigh agency, to figure out how to make things happen faster than most would expect /li /ul pbThese skills are a plus: /b /p ul liExperience with debugging common electrical systems (CAN bus, power distribution, ..) /li liExperience with ROS2 /li liExperience with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing /li liExperience with NVIDIA Jetson /li liExperience with CAD modeling (e.g. Onshape) /li /ul pYou will be the first dedicated Testing Engineer at Loki.
