The site in Visp, Switzerland is growing and for our Biologics organization, we are currently looking for a Manager, Bioconjugates MSAT, Senior Cleaning Expert. Lonza entered the ADC market in 2006 and today we produce the majority of commercially available ADCs in our bioconjugation facility in Visp. We are proud of our global bioconjugate team for their dedicated work and commitment to bringing life-saving therapies to cancer patients worldwide. Lonza has a strong track record in the manufacturing of BioConjugates from early clinical to large scale commercial supplies. Our dedicated Protein Conjugation Plant facility (PCP) is recognized as a center of excellence for Antibody Drug Conjugates (ADC) as well as other classes of BioConjugates. Our supply capacity will be re-enforced by the future opening of new BioConjugation suites in Lonza’s Ibex® facility. In the position of MSAT Bioconjugates Team Lead, you will make a difference by being leading a team of MSAT cleaning experts. In addition, you will be responsible for the successful supervision, support of BioConjugates cleaning processes running in Lonza’s facilities in Visp. Key responsibilities: – Lead a team of MSAT cleaning and cleaning validation experts. – Mentor and coach the team members. – Deliver process know-how, scientific expertise as well as operational excellence with regard to the cleaning of equipments used for the biopharma API production, – Support the MSAT cleaning team for the preparation of the commercial and clinical BioConjugates GMP campaigns in our Ibex® and Protein Conjugation Plant (small scale and large scale PCP) facilities. – Represents the facility during process specific inspections and audits as SME for area of responsibility Key requirements: – Master or PhD or equivalent experience (preferred) in Biotechnology, chemical engineering, organic chemistry or related fields – Significant experience in biopharma manufacturing and / or process development, and/ or equipment cleaning preferably in the area of BioConjugates or DSP (Mammalian or Microbial) – Experience in team management – cGMP experience and deep understanding of Bioprocess technology – Excellent communication skills for interaction within the project organization and with customers. – Fluent in English and ideally in German – Creative, agile, open-minded Every day, Lonza’s products and services have a positive impact on millions of people.
