Associate Principal Scientist (80-100%)

This role will be in the Advanced Synthesis Platform and has been created specifically to support a growth project at the Visp site. It represents an exciting opportunity to be involved in the set-up and go live of a new facility, which will serve a diverse customer portfolio.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical expertise and consulting to drive set up of Early Phase Expansion Project and associated processes.
• Anticipate, evaluate and implement trends and innovations in Early Phase CMC.
• Mentor for scientific staff in field of expertise and for mid-career and senior scientists in technical areas.
• Design and lead multi-disciplinary teams on complex projects.

Key Requirements:

• You have completed a Masters degree in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering. A PhD and Postdoc is considered advantageous.
• You have at least 5 years of industrial experience in the field of chemical process development with transfer to GMP production.
• Experience working with products in early clinical phases is strongly preferred.
• Six sigma certification with demonstrated success in improving/implementing new processes is highly desirable.
• You have an independent, careful, and reliable way of working. You can work effectively in a team and enjoy interdisciplinary cooperation.
• Excellent command of English is necessary (written and spoken). German knowledge or willingness to learn German is required.
