And that’s the kind of work we want to be part of. /p pWe are looking for a Chief of Staff to Chief Intelligence Analytics Officer (CIAO) and Head of Group Intelligence and Analytics (GIA). /p h3Role Purpose /h3 pServe as the strategic and operational partner to the Chief Intelligence Analytics Officer and Head of CEO Office, enabling effective prioritization, governance and execution across the Intelligence Analytics agenda and the CEO Office. The role connects strategy with delivery, provides high-quality decision support, coordinates critical cross-functional topics and ensures that commitments, risks and dependencies are managed with pace, discretion and rigor. /p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 h3Strategic Partnership and Decision Support /h3 ul liAct as a trusted thought partner to the Chief Intelligence Analytics Officer and Head of CEO Office, supporting prioritization, problem solving and preparation for key decisions. /li liSynthesize complex market, customer, competitor, molecule, business, analytics and AI topics into concise, decision-ready materials, recommendations and executive briefings. /li liIdentify emerging issues, opportunities, interdependencies and topics requiring leadership attention; ensure timely escalation and resolution. /li /ul h3Portfolio, Governance and Execution /h3 ul liTranslate strategic priorities into an integrated roadmap with clear outcomes, milestones, accountabilities, dependencies and success measures. /li liEstablish and run effective governance and operating rhythms across the function, including leadership meetings, portfolio reviews and follow-up on decisions and actions. /li liFinance, Communications and the business platforms. /li liTrack delivery against commitments, surface risks early and drive disciplined follow-through without duplicating the accountability of initiative owners. /li /ul h3CEO Office Coordination /h3 ul liSupport the Head of CEO Office in coordinating CEO Office priorities and ensuring aligned, high-quality and timely delivery across relevant stakeholders. /li liPrepare agendas, briefings, presentations, talking points and follow-up materials for senior leadership, Board-related and selected external engagements, as requested. /li liFacilitate the flow of information and decisions between the CEO Office, Executive Committee stakeholders and relevant functions while maintaining strict confidentiality. /li /ul h3Leadership Team and Organizational Effectiveness /h3 ul liEnable an effective leadership team by clarifying priorities, strengthening collaboration and ensuring transparent decision and action tracking. /li liSupport organizational planning, resource prioritization, budget coordination and talent discussions in partnership with Finance and HR. /li liPromote consistent ways of working, strong stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement across the organization. /li /ul h3Communications and Stakeholder Engagement /h3 ul liDevelop clear and compelling narratives for the Intelligence Analytics strategy, progress, impact and priorities. /li liCoordinate leadership communications and stakeholder engagement plans, partnering with Corporate Communications and other subject-matter experts. /li liBuild trusted relationships across functions and business platforms and represent the office in selected forums where delegated. /li /ul h3Key Stakeholders /h3 pReports to: Chief Intelligence Analytics Officer and Head of CEO Office /p pKey Internal Partners: CEO Office, Executive Committee and senior leaders, Intelligence Analytics leadership team, Business Platforms, Finance, HR, IT, Commercial, Marketing, Corporate Communications, Legal and other global functions /p pExternal Partners: Selected advisors, consulting partners, technology and data partners, and external stakeholders as required /p h3Required Skills and Competencies /h3 ul liStrategic Thinking: Connects enterprise priorities, business context and functional agendas; anticipates implications and translates direction into action. /li liExecutive Communication: Distils complex information into clear, concise and compelling messages for senior audiences. /li liExecution Excellence: Creates structure, drives disciplined follow-through and delivers high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment. /li liInfluence and Partnership: Builds trust and alignment across senior stakeholders without relying on formal authority. /li liJudgment and Discretion: Handles sensitive and confidential matters with maturity, sound judgment and integrity. /li liAnalytical Fluency: Understands data, analytics and AI concepts and can connect insights to business decisions and value creation. /li liOrganizational Agility: Navigates ambiguity, complexity and competing priorities across a global matrix organization. /li liChange Leadership: Supports transformation, mobilizes stakeholders and embeds effective new ways of working. /li /ul h3Qualification Experience /h3 ul liMany years of experiencein corporate strategy, market intelligence, business development, management consulting, or related fields, preferably within thepharma, biotech, CDMO, or life sciences sector. /li liStrong analytical background with experience in market research, financial modelling, and strategic recommendations for senior leadership. /li liValidated ability to analyse sophisticated business problems, develop strategic insights, and present clear recommendations. /li liStrong experience in market research, and competitive analysis. /li liExcellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities, with a structured and analytical mindset. /li liOutstanding communication and storytelling skills, with experience engaging senior leaders. /li liAbility to work independently and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. /li liStrong project leadership skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority. /li liMBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred but not required. /li /ul pEvery day, Lonza’s products and services have a positive impact on millions of people.
