The Application Specialist is a team member of the GE Project Controls organization, supporting the implementation and use of Oracle Primavera application suite on Global Engineering CAPEX projects.
The suite of applications is used to manage Capital projects within Lonza. They will be considered a specialist and support end users in using the system, support system administration, and help develop and increase system usability and usefulness within the GE organization.
Responsibilities:
- System Administration: manage and maintain system access. Develop processes to monitor and maintain system.
- Support project teams in set up of projects and user access.
- Supports with troubleshooting and resolution of issues.
- Solicits feedback from end users to understand needs, application use, and potential improvements. Training, guidance and support to end users in system use and functionality.
- Drafts requirements, liaises with development team and assists with development and testing of new features.
- Supports the maintenance and updating of system documentation and procedures.
- Provides reports, data extractions and status updates as requested by management.
Candidate Profile:
- Education: Degree or advanced degree from an accredited college or university. Engineering, Science, Quantity Surveying, or Business Management degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
- Language: Excellent command of English required. Business fluent in German an advantage.
- Experience: between 0 – 4 years of experience in the same role.
- Critical thinking.
- Experience with Oracle Primavera software package, especially Construction Intelligence Cloud Analytics.
