Overview
In this role you will shape global sourcing for laboratory supplies, equipment and services to support R&D, Quality and Manufacturing at Lonza. You will lead category strategies, drive supplier partnerships and govern performance to ensure reliable access and value. You’ll partner across functions to align procurement with business needs and monitor market trends for innovation. This is a strategic, impact-driven position at the heart of Lonza’s global supply network.

Verantwortungsbereiche
- Develop and implement global category and sourcing strategies for laboratory supplies, equipment and related services
- Lead sourcing initiatives, supplier negotiations and contracting to deliver value and reduce risk
- Partner with stakeholders across R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Finance and Operations to align procurement strategies with business needs
- Build and maintain a pipeline of cost savings and value creation opportunities with forecasting and tracking
- Manage strategic supplier relationships and drive performance through governance and continuous improvement
- Monitor market trends, supplier capabilities and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation
- Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements and risk management standards across the category
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Bachelor or Master Degree in Economics / Supply Chain Management / Procurement or related field
- Extensive experience in category management, strategic sourcing or procurement within pharma or life sciences or comparable industry
- Proven ability to lead complex sourcing initiatives and deliver measurable business value
- Strong stakeholder management and ability to influence decision-making
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a customer-focused mindset
