Overview In this role, you will lead phys-chemical QC testing for biologics and small molecules in a cGMP environment, ensuring accurate, timely results. You will work closely with cross-functional teams in Basel to support audit readiness and manufacturing quality. The position emphasizes process optimization, instrument maintenance, and training of scientists to sustain high standards. This is a hands-on, site-based opportunity to contribute to patient-focused medicines and robust quality systems. You will engage stakeholders to drive continuous improvement and maintain compliance in a fast-paced lab setting. Leistungen / Benefits agile career dynamic work culture inclusive and ethical workplace compensation programs recognizing high performance Verantwortungsbereiche Independently perform routine physico-chemical testing (U/HPLC, CE-SDS, icIEF, protein content, compendial methods) for biologics and small molecules in QC under cGMP Execute, review and approve basic lab tasks (mobile phase prep, pH meter calibration, balance checks) Investigate and troubleshoot lab equipment issues, driving investigations and proposing mitigations Maintain lab cleanliness and inventory/consumables management to cGMP standards for audits Oversee maintenance/requalification of lab equipment as Instrument Responsible Person (IRP) and support instrument SOPs Participate in lab operational optimization and process improvement initiatives Provide training on compendial and purity/identity/content methods; onboard new Scientists/Senior Scientists Zentrale Anforderungen Minimum 5 years of experience in a research/technical analytical role in pharma/biotech/chemical Proven experience in a cGMP-regulated environment with compliant reporting and documentation (ALCOA++ GDocP) Experience with laboratory software ( Empower, ELJ, LIMS ) is advantageous Strong communication skills and ability to work independently within a team Good written and spoken English; additional languages a plus On-the-job training as a lab technician (EFZ, HF, CTA, BTA, PTA or BSc./MSc.) strong communication independence proactive attitude U/HPLC (SEC, IEX, RP, surfactant) CE-SDS icIEF
