In Visp, you will lead and advance DSP technologies across development and manufacturing, strengthening Lonza’s competitive position in biopharma DSP. You act as the technical expert for DSP in customer interactions and cross-functional settings, guiding process development, tech transfer, and capital investments. Your work shapes scalable purification solutions and strategic growth initiatives, driving impact across global sites and collaborations with stakeholders. Verantwortungsbereiche
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation in DSP by collaborating with Manufacturing, QA, Engineering, and other cross-functional teams
- Serve as the DSP technical and scientific expert in customer interactions, commercial events, and the broader scientific community, supporting technical sales
- Lead and/or support DSP process development projects with planning, supervision, and evaluation of lab activities to meet quality, cost, and timeline targets
- Support transfer of DSP manufacturing processes into GMP production facilities and provide expertise during manufacturing campaigns
- Lead or support troubleshooting, investigations, deviation assessments, document reviews, and process improvements with Production, QA, QC, and customers
- Define and support investment strategies for DSP equipment and technologies, evaluating and executing CAPEX projects
- Drive growth and innovation by leading end-to-end DSP projects and contributing to strategic business development
Zentrale Anforderungen
- PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific discipline
- Extensive DSP expertise in biopharmaceutical, chemical, or related industry
- Proven experience with preparative HPLC (Prep HPLC) and chromatographic purification
- Strong background in process development, scale-up, and technology transfer
- GMP experience is advantageous
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, able to work independently and collaboratively
- Proven track record in leading large-scale CAPEX/investment projects; fluent English; German is a plus
