pFor one of our clients, a bank based in Geneva, we are looking for a: /ph3LEGAL ADVISOR /h3ulliProvide legal advice and support to the Bank’s various departments on a broad range of legal and regulatory matters /liliDraft, review and negotiate legal agreements and banking documentation, particularly in relation to Commodity Trade Finance, Wealth Management and Financial Institutions activities /liliAdvise internal stakeholders on legal risks and propose pragmatic solutions in line with applicable laws, regulations and internal policies /liliHandle requests, investigations and decisions issued by Swiss or international judicial, administrative and supervisory authorities /liliDraft and review internal policies, directives, procedures and forms to ensure compliance with applicable legal requirements /liliConduct legal research and provide analyses on various banking and regulatory matters /liliNegotiate legal documentation with clients and their legal representatives in coordination with Front Office teams /liliHandle legal matters related to client succession cases /liliCoordinate and monitor external legal counsel on banking matters, legal advice and litigation /liliMonitor developments in Swiss legislation and regulations and assess their impact on the Bank’s activities /liliSupport the implementation of new or amended legal requirements within the organisation /liliProvide support to the Compliance function on cross-functional matters /liliPrepare legal memoranda, reports and minutes as required /liliDeliver internal legal training when necessary /liliAct as back-up on legal matters when required /li /ulh3Required profile /h3ulliMinimum 8–10 years of experience in a similar legal position within the Swiss banking sector /liliStrong knowledge and proven experience in Commodity Trade Finance is mandatory /liliExcellent knowledge of the Swiss banking environment and applicable laws and regulations /liliGood understanding of regulatory and compliance matters /liliExcellent legal analysis, drafting and negotiation skills /liliStrong organisational skills and ability to prioritise and manage several matters simultaneously /liliAutonomous, proactive and solution-oriented approach /liliStrong sense of responsibility, discretion and professional ethics /liliExcellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work effectively with various internal and external stakeholders /liliVery good command of standard IT and MS Office tools /liliFluent in French and English, both written and spoken /liliSwiss residency required /li /ulpAll files will be treated with the utmost confidentiality. /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
