Working hours: full time, 40h/week
Requirement: EU working visa
To support our Operations Team at ESOC in Darmstadt, we are currently seeking to employ a motivated and enthusiastic Spacecraft Analyst.

In line with security requirements, the candidate has to hold an European citizenship or be eligible to live and work in the EU. Evidence of eligibility will be required from candidates as part of the recruitment process. Furthermore, in view of the nature of the work the company is in, all potential employees will undergo stringent reference and identity checks.
Your tasks and responsibilities
- Maintain the spacecraft and ground segment operational databases, related tools, procedures, and documentation under strict configuration control
- Develop and maintain custom software tools that may be required for efficient and effective conduct of mission planning and preparation tasks
- Support in the review of assigned documentation in the datapacks for the system level reviews, assessing the completeness and consistency of Interface Control Documents (ICDs), verifying the adequacy of the Spacecraft User Manual, including its procedures and mission timeline, as well as tests coverage and reporting
- Collect the information / data regarding the performance of the mission and provision of inputs for mission reports
- Support the generation of operational reports based on inputs received from other FCT members
- Support for the development and integration logic for flight operations and data processing centers, services, and operational interfaces
- Routine mission plan generation support, as required
Your profile
- Degree in Computer Science or Aerospace Engineering with software content or practical experience in the relevant field
- Knowledge of spacecraft control systems such as SCOS-2000
- Good experience with office automation tools, including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access (use of functions, queries, macros, reports, input forms, etc.)
- Knowledge of the Linux environment including interactive shells and shell scripting
- Good experience with relation databases and correspondent management systems (RDBMS) and good knowledge of SQL
- Programming knowledge and experience with Python and/or other high level programming languages, including Visual Basic and VBA for Office, are an advantage
- Good communication skills and team spirit
- Good knowledge of the English language
