We are currently looking to strengthen our Galileo Training Service team with an experienced and motivated engineer who is interested in applying their background in satellite and/or ground operations to support the Galileo Training and Simulations team. The main tasks include the coordination, management and execution of training related activities and simulations for the Galileo constellation in the frame of the Galileo Service Operations (GSOp).
Security
In line with security requirements, the candidate must hold a European citizenship. Evidence of eligibility will be required from candidates as part of the recruitment process. Furthermore, in view of the nature of the work, all potential employees will undergo stringent reference and identity checks.
What you´ll do
- Coordinate technical training needs with the operations and maintenance teams
- Prepare training plans and coordinate training activities
- Perform Training Needs Analysis for new and existing roles
- Organize, support, and execute training sessions
- Support LEOP training and LEOP preparation activities
- Assess trainee’s performance during final certification and issue certifications
- Keep track of staff training progress and certification records
- Managing the Galileo Training Management System (TMS)
- Develop and maintain training documentation
In addition, you will support the team asback-up Simulations Officer , which includes the following tasks:
- Operate the Galileo Constellation Simulator
- Create different scenarios for nominal and contingency simulations
- Plan, prepare and execute simulations in routine and LEOP operations environment
- Develop and maintain scripts and breakpoints
What we are looking for
- A university degree in Engineering or a related educational field
- Experience in satellite and/or ground operations
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Experience in providing training courses and conducting personnel certifications
- Experience in trainees’ progress assessment and feedback provision
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
- The following skills and experience would be highly desirable:
- Knowledge of the Galileo mission
- Experience in LEOP operations
- Knowledge of training tools based on Moodle
