Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Onsite Project Manager to lead a portfolio of small- to medium-sized plant and infrastructure projects . The successful candidate will manage projects from planning and detailed design through construction, commissioning, handover, and close-out, ensuring delivery in line with approved scope, schedule, budget, safety, quality, and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain project execution plans, integrated schedules, milestones, budgets, forecasts, and reporting routines.
- Lead coordination across engineering, operations, maintenance, EHS, procurement, finance, suppliers, and contractors.
- Manage project governance, stakeholder communication, action tracking, decision logs, risks, issues, and change control.
- Small plant projects, including gatehouse remodelling, security camera upgrades, and walkway improvements.
- Site-clearance projects involving three silos exceeding 100 m³ and an automated perfume dosing machine.
- Green Heat initiatives, including a small gas boiler and heat-pump installation for building heating.
- Office consolidation involving refurbishment and extension of an office building.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, project management, construction management, or a related technical discipline.
- Proven experience managing industrial, manufacturing, plant, infrastructure, or facility projects from design through commissioning and handover.
- Demonstrated ability to manage scope, schedule, cost, risk, quality, safety, procurement, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering and site-execution activities in an operational plant environment.
- Working knowledge of project controls, change management, contractor management, commissioning, and project close-out.
- Professional proficiency in both German and English.
- Ability and willingness to work onsite at the Worms plant.
