Your Team:
Based in Aachen, you will join our Finance team, reporting to the Senior Director Finance, and support the German entity with day-to-day finance operations, reporting and compliance. You will work closely with colleagues across Finance, Tax, Procurement and the commercial organization, as well as with external advisors.
What You'll Be Working On
Finance Reporting & Analysis
- Support monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting, account analysis, accruals and invoicing tasks
- Prepare data and documentation for internal reporting, authorities and external parties
Tax & Compliance Support
- Support Corporate Income tax, VAT, Intrastat and other regulatory reporting together with our tax advisors
- Collect and check the information required for complete and timely submission of data
- Support running our internal management control system
Operational Finance
- Review travel expense claims and corporate card reports
- Support setup and approvals of purchase requisitions and SAP internal orders (e. g. CAPEX related requests)
- Assist with asset, investment and inventory administration tasks, including physical inventory counts
- Provide practical day-to-day finance support to colleagues and contribute to ad-hoc reports
Process Improvement & Collaboration
- Help improve finance processes, templates and documentation
- Work with international colleagues and external partners to resolve operational questions
What You Bring
- You have completed a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Controlling, Business Administration or a similar qualification
- Initial practical experience through an internship, working-student role or apprenticeship is welcome, but not essential
- You understand basic accounting and controlling concepts and are keen to learn more about tax and compliance
- You are confident using Excel and keen to learn SAP and other finance systems
- You work accurately, especially with numbers and keep track of deadlines
- You are hands-on, service-oriented and comfortable with both analytical and operational tasks
- You communicate effectively in German and English and enjoy international teamwork
