Overview In this Lead role, you drive the development and integration of a Level 4 autonomous driving software stack within a partner’s development ecosystem. You shape technical decisions, review architecture and interfaces, and guide risk-driven solutions that are production-ready and safety-critical. You’ll prototype approaches, verify performance, and lead design and code reviews to ensure robust, scalable software across perception, localization, and planning. This is a hands-on position influencing end-to-end delivery and on-site vehicle testing in Switzerland. Verantwortungsbereiche Analyze cross-functional issues in the autonomous driving stack using code, logs, sensor data, and simulations to identify problems across algorithmic, software, and hardware domains. Develop evaluation criteria and evidence-based solution options considering feasibility, risks, and system impact. Create prototypes to validate approaches before implementation and verification. Provide technical direction by translating objectives into actionable engineering tasks. Review architecture, algorithms, interfaces, and development outcomes for robustness and production readiness. Identify risks, dependencies, and blockers early to enable sustainable resolution. Lead design reviews, code reviews, architecture discussions, and structured troubleshooting sessions. Zentrale Anforderungen In-depth knowledge of autonomous driving systems and integration across perception, localization, sensor fusion, prediction, behavior and motion planning, and vehicle interfaces. Experience with advanced techniques: point-cloud processing, object detection/tracking, multi-modal fusion, SLAM, HD mapping, scene understanding, trajectory optimization, and ML methods including transformers and occupancy networks. Ability to evaluate new AI technologies for safety, integration, and performance implications. Experience with end-to-end software lifecycle, production-grade code, and integration into autonomous driving systems. Ability to design test scenarios, acceptance criteria, and validation methodologies across simulated and real environments. Strong communication and collaboration skills; willingness for periodic on-site travel.
