Junior Data engineer

Project description

German chemical concern headquartered in Ludwigshafen. The world\’s largest chemical company, the concern produces a wide range of products: plastic, paint, cosmetics, food additives, technical and construction chemicals, agrochemical plant protection products, etc.

Responsibilities

1. Implement and maintain simple applications with a focus on back-end technologies like .net.
2. Collaborate with frontend engineers.
3. Contribute to APIs using Python.
4. Utilize version control systems (Git) for source code management.
5. Cover code with unit and integration tests.
6. Good communication skills.

Skills

Must have

1. Bachelor\’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
2. Experience of 1+ years of .net/C#.
3. Experience of using Microsoft Azure for project needs.
4. Good problem-solving skills and attention to details.
5. Experience with SQL databases such as MSSQL.
6. Data visualization experience.
7. Ability to read English/German documentation.

Nice to have

1. Experience with containerization technologies like Docker.
2. Practical usage of Python is a huge plus.
3. Ability to utilize BDD approach.
4. Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
5. Basic knowledge of any of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is strongly appreciated.
