Overview
In this role you will architect and evolve a scalable, high-performance OTA update system for a global automotive brand. You’ll lead backend design in a microservices setup on Azure, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure secure, maintainable solutions. You’ll tackle complex performance and scalability challenges while staying current with new technologies. Your work will influence architecture decisions and direct technical delivery, with close alignment to the client’s business goals.
Verantwortungsbereiche
- Architect and evolve the backend for scalability and performance
- Define and document system architecture ensuring maintainability and extensibility
- Develop robust APIs and efficient database schemas
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to the development team
- Collaborate with Engineering Team Lead on strategic technical decisions
- Ensure code quality, security standards, and best practices
- Analyze and resolve performance bottlenecks
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and propose innovative solutions
- Ensure strong on-site collaboration and alignment with the client's Business Owner
Zentrale Anforderungen
- 5+ years as Principal Software Developer, Software Architect, or equivalent
- 10+ years in software development
- Extensive experience in heavy-loaded microservice backend with Java (5+ years)
- Proven experience in large-scale distributed high-performance systems
- Advanced German (C1) and fluent English (C1)
- Deep knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure preferred, AWS acceptable)
- Automotive/Embedded experience
- OTA Software Update experience
- Ability to communicate fluently with client and team
