About Luxtelligence SA

Luxtelligence SA is a young, privately held, and rapidly growing Swiss high-tech startup company, founded in 2022 by researchers from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology of Lausanne (EPFL). We are developing next generation photonic integrated circuits based on electro-optical materials , in particular thin-film Lithium Niobate and Lithium Tantalate, that can revolutionize next generation optical interconnects for AI data centers and High-Performance Computing, 5G/6G, microwave photonics and find applications in quantum science and technology, with significant economic potential. We have a dedicated office and lab space with a total of 12 FTEs. We are entering a new, exciting phase of our activities, in which we will scale our operations to high-volume production, and foster key commercial partnerships to support our evolution.

About the role

Having established a strong scientific and technological foundation, Luxtelligence is now entering a new phase of its journey moving from an R&D-driven startup toward scale-up and commercialization. To lead this transition, we are seeking a new Chief Executive Officer who can guide the company through its next stage of growth.

The new CEO will drive the professionalisation of the organisation, setting the company’s strategic vision, strengthening culture, governance, and execution, while keeping it close to new opportunities and amplifying what makes Luxtelligence exceptional: deep innovation, technical excellence, and an enduring entrepreneurial spirit.

This role is about building a company that can grow sustainably and combines visionary leadership, hands‑on execution, and deep collaboration with technical teams. You will work closely with the founders, board, and team to translate cutting‑edge technology into a robust, scalable business, creating clarity, alignment, and momentum as the organisation evolves.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Culture

• Define and execute Luxtelligence’s long‑term vision, strategy, and roadmap
• Position the company “close to the apple tree”, ensuring the company is consistently well positioned to anticipate, recognize, and rapidly capitalize on emerging opportunities, maintaining strategic proximity to key markets, technologies, and partners as they evolve.
• Lead the transition from R&D-driven organization to a commercially focused company
• Build a strong, values‑driven company culture that supports excellence, innovation, and collaboration

Fundraising & Governance

• Lead fundraising activities (venture capital, strategic investors, public funding)
• Manage investor relations and work closely with the Board of Directors
• Ensure sound financial planning, governance, and risk management

Executive Leadership

• Build, lead, and inspire a high‑performance leadership team
• Oversee operations and organizational scaling in collaboration with the COO
• Create alignment between technical, commercial, and operational functions

Partnerships

• Build and manage strategic partnerships with suppliers, foundries, and key players to enable and accelerate execution of the business model.
• Influence key stakeholders and cultivate strong networks, ensuring Luxtelligence is deeply anchored in relevant ecosystems, markets, and partnerships

What We’re Looking For

Experience

• Proven CEO, founder, or senior executive experience in a deep‑tech, semiconductor, photonics, or advanced hardware environment
• Strong track record in scaling technology companies from early stage to commercialization
• Experience with fundraising and investor relations is essential

Mindset

• Strong strategic thinking combined with hands‑on execution ability
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and decision‑making skills
• Ability to bridge advanced physics / engineering and business realities
• High credibility with technical teams and external stakeholders
• Comfortable operating in uncertainty and building structure as the company grows
• Master’s degree in business administration, Finance, Engineering, or a related field
