Senior Originator (Renewable Energy)
Location - Dusseldorf, Germany (Hybrid)
Our client is a leading player in the German renewable energy market, providing innovative solutions across renewable power marketing, PPAs, energy trading, battery storage optimisation and flexibility services. Working with renewable asset owners, project developers, utilities and industrial energy consumers, the company plays a key role in accelerating the energy transition.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Originator to drive new business opportunities across renewable energy and power markets.
You will originate, structure and negotiate commercial agreements, working closely with renewable generators, utilities, industrial offtakers and investors. The role offers exposure to PPAs, route-to-market services, battery storage and broader energy trading solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Originate and execute renewable energy transactions across Germany
- Develop opportunities within PPAs, direct marketing and route-to-market services
- Build relationships with IPPs, project developers, utilities and industrial customers
- Structure and negotiate commercial agreements for renewable and flexible energy assets
- Support the commercialisation of battery storage and hybrid energy projects
- Work closely with Trading and Portfolio Management teams to deliver tailored customer solutions
- Track market developments and identify new growth opportunities
Desired Skills and Experience
- Several years of experience in energy origination, PPAs, energy trading or renewable power markets
- Strong understanding of the German energy market
- Proven track record of negotiating commercial agreements
- Established network across renewable energy, utilities, industrials or trading markets
- Commercial mindset with strong business development skills
- Fluent German and English
