Analyst, Debt Advisory Investment Banking
The Frankfurt Debt Advisory team offers comprehensive debt advisory services to a global client base, with a particular focus on European assets. We are seeking an Analyst with a keen interest in debt advisory and debt products to join our dynamic team in Frankfurt.

What role will you play?
As a member of the debt advisory team, which is part of the broader M&A team within Macquarie Capital, you will collaborate with a market leading senior team, working on standalone debt advisory mandates and collaborate with the M&A team to execute lender education processes for sell-side processes and arrange financings for buy-side mandates across digital infrastructure (fibre and data centers) and energy transition (generation, storage, distribution and transmission grids for both fuels and electricity). You will support them in all marketing and transaction execution activities, with a strong focus on financial analysis, with responsibilities including preparing financial models and pitch books for marketing and transaction execution purposes. The team has a very high deal flow, which will provide you with the opportunity to gain live experience from day one, get access to senior management and decision makers and build a network of bankers, lawyers, and a diverse range of other advisers.
Please note that while Macquarie offers hybrid working for many of our roles, this role does require five days a week in our office location.
What you offer
- Bachelor / Master\’s degree in finance or a related subject
- Professional experience from relevant internships and/or just started permanent employment, with an ability to demonstrate your experience and be regarded as an outstanding performer amongst your peers
- Thorough grasp of financial concepts, valuation and lending economics, with a good interest in financial modelling
- Experienced in using MS Office, in particular advanced Excel skills
- You must be an excellent communicator in both German and English, and possess German language skills of native level equivalent in oral and in writing.
