To strengthen the finance team at headquarters, we are looking for a Consolidation Specialist who wants to play a key role in the IFRS conversion, group consolidation, and the further development of reporting processes.
Your Responsibilities Are Divided Into Two Main Pillars
- IFRS Conversion & Group Consolidation
- Financial Reporting: Preparing consolidated financial statements under IFRS for multiple international group entities (with the support of external advisors).
- Consolidation Process: Gathering, processing, and validating financial data in consolidation software and reporting numbers to the parent company and shareholders.
- Adjustments & Eliminations: Executing and documenting consolidation adjustments and eliminations (GAAP-to-IFRS, IFRS 16, currency translation, equity method, deferred taxes, etc.).
- Analysis & Advisory: Analyzing consolidated figures, explaining variances, and reporting findings.
- Audit & Compliance: Acting as the primary point of contact for external auditors during interim and year-end audits.
- Quality Control: Monitoring changes in IFRS standards and keeping the accounting manual, policies, and internal control procedures up to date.
- Projects, Systems & Business Partnering
- Project Management: Managing special finance projects (e.g., establishing entities in new countries, supporting M&A transactions, international expansion, and designing future consolidation processes).
- Consolidation Software: Active involvement in the implementation, support, and continuous optimization of the group consolidation tool.
- Reporting: Preparing reports for management, the Board of Directors, and external stakeholders (semi-annual and annual reporting).
- Support: Serving as a key contact for finance departments across the group and coaching local teams on IFRS and reporting.
Profiel
Who are we looking for?
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in consolidation, group reporting, or audit.
- In-depth knowledge of IFRS, including practical experience applying these standards within a consolidation context.
- Strong proficiency in Excel is a must.
- Sharp analytical insight.
- Ownership attitude: proactive, self-starter, keen to delve into topics and help build the business.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with auditors, executive management, and international finance teams.
- Fluent in English. Proficiency in Dutch and/or French is a significant asset.
