What You'll Do
Lead the Protein Operations department, day to day and strategically
Plan, prioritize, and coordinate the team's activities
Stay hands-on across the protein life cycle, from expression to purification
Help plan, track, and hit operational KPIs
Act as a trusted advisor to the Head of Protein Sciences on operational and organizational matters
Drive continuous process improvement in regard to quality, efficiency, and cost
Plan and coordinate training and development for the Protein Operations team
Keep equipment running and well maintained
What You Bring
A degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, or a related field
3+ years' hands-on experience with protein expression (E. coli, Pichia, and/or insect cells) and purification of recombinant proteins
Proven experience leading a team
Excellent English; German is a plus
A drive to grow through exciting projects, comfortable working independently and reporting clearly
Nice to have: hands-on experience with automated protein purification setups
Compensation Salary is in line with the collective agreement (KV Handwerk und Gewerbe) for a full-time position. Your actual salary will reflect your experience and qualifications.
