Overview
As a Sr. Core Buyer at Magna, you drive sourcing and procurement for platform projects, ensuring cost competitiveness and reliable supply. You’ll partner with cross-functional teams to manage suppliers and support program execution across the project lifecycle. You’ll influence global sourcing strategies and contribute to material availability and production continuity. This role offers exposure to platform-level procurement in a dynamic, international setting with meaningful impact on product delivery.

Verantwortungsbereiche
- Lead RFQ processes: supplier inquiries, quote evaluation and cost analysis
- Support customer RFQs with purchasing input during early project phases
- Serve as the purchasing interface for platform projects and cross-functional teams
- Drive sourcing activities and support supplier selection and awards
- Develop and maintain supplier relationships and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Negotiate commercial terms to achieve competitive material costs
- Maintain platform price libraries and cost models
- Collaborate with Category Management, Engineering and Supplier Quality on the supply chain strategy
- Monitor market and technology trends for sourcing opportunities
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and platform objectives execution
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
- 5+ years of experience in automotive electronics or related procurement
- Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel
- Experience with MRP/ERP systems; knowledge of JDE is an advantage
