Overview
In this role you will lead supplier development and quality activities within Magna’s Mechatronics, Mirrors and Lighting group. You’ll drive performance improvements for strategic suppliers and coordinate APQP/PPAP processes to meet global OEM standards. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure robust electrical/electronic components and systems, including PCBA, motors and harnesses, supporting the company’s mission to advance automotive technologies. This is an opportunity to shape supplier capability at scale in a global automotive environment.
Verantwortungsbereiche
- Lead development activities for underperforming suppliers via Top Focus
- Conduct onsite supplier assessments and participate in supplier tech reviews
- Monitor supplier performance and identify underperforming suppliers
- Support corrective actions for major customer events
- Participate and monitor the supplier APQP process
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Degree in a technical discipline preferred
- 5 years’ experience in electronics manufacturing
- Ability to develop suppliers to meet global OEM regulations and requirements
- Deep knowledge in electrical and electronic components
- Experience in supplier evaluation and development, continuous quality improvement, and open issues management
- Solid understanding of APQP/PPAP requirements including Process Control Plan, SPC, GD&T, DFMEA, PFMEA
- Certified Auditor to VDA 6.3
