Senior Data Scientist in Berlin

Our client, an international online broker and FinTech company serving private and professional investors across global financial markets, is looking for a Senior Data Scientist to support a strategic internal project focused on pricing models .

About the Role

This is a temporary, full-time engagement supporting a fast-paced strategic initiative. We're looking for someone who can contribute quickly to an ongoing project, with a strong background in statistics and predictive modeling, and proven experience applying these skills in a financial business environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end process of data-driven knowledge gathering (connect, mine, simulate, predict, illustrate, and deploy)
• Create data-based solutions to address complex business challenges
• Translate business needs into hypotheses, leading to advanced analytical projects, and conduct ad hoc analyses to address specific business questions
• Design, train, deploy, and monitor predictive algorithms
• Develop data-driven business case models
• Develop and run simulation-based scenarios to quantify revenue and business impact under different assumptions, with a focus on pricing models
• Communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Your Profile

• Senior-level Data Scientist with a strong background in statistics and predictive modeling
• Solid experience applying these skills within a financial business environment
• Proficiency in Python and SQL
• Strong analytical skills across structured and unstructured data
• Knowledge of financial markets and financial products (options, futures, etc.)
• Experience with pricing or revenue simulations is a strong advantage
• Self-driven, proactive, with strong verbal and written communication skills
• Location: Berlin (2 days per week in the office, 3 remote)
• Duration: 6 months
• Start: As soon as possible
• Commitment: Full-time
