Head of Compliance (Interim, 6 Months) – Frankfurt
About the Role:
You will lead and develop a team of 5-7 compliance and legal professionals, owning the corporate compliance management system and driving preventive programmes across human rights, anti-bribery and corruption (ABAC), and anti-money laundering (AML).
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a team of 5-7 compliance and legal professionals
- Own the corporate compliance management system and keep improving it across the jurisdictions the business operates in
- Drive the human rights agenda, including supply chain due diligence and associated reporting
- Run preventive ABAC and AML programmes – policy, controls, and monitoring
- Advise senior management and the board on compliance and regulatory questions
- Work closely with teams across the business to keep compliance practical and embedded
- Manage relationships with regulators, external counsel, and other key stakeholders
Your Profile:
- Fully qualified lawyer (Volljurist, both state exams)
- Experience across both consulting/private practice and in-house roles, ideally at more than one organisation
- Strong knowledge of corporate compliance systems, with a focus on prevention
- Good grounding in human rights topics, ABAC, and AML
- Proven team leadership experience
- Confident engaging with senior stakeholders
- Fluent German and English
- Location: Frankfurt
