Chief Information Security Officer | Munich

Our client, a global organisation, is looking for a Chief Information Security Officer to become its most senior voice on cyber risk. Answering to the CIO, you will decide how the group safeguards its most valuable assets and make sure security keeps pace with an ambitious growth and change agenda.

The role:

• Set the long-term direction for security across the group and turn it into a clear, prioritised plan.
• Be the go-to counsel for the executive team whenever cyber risk, a serious incident or major spend is on the table.
• Run day-to-day security operations, keeping the organisation ready to detect, contain and recover from attacks.
• Put in place the policies, controls and compliance processes that hold the business to a consistent standard.
• Ensure new technology, change initiatives and supplier relationships are secure from the outset.
• Grow an international team and make security something every employee takes ownership of.
• Speak for the organisation on security matters with clients, auditors and regulators.

What you’ll need:

• You have run a security function at senior level and ideally already hold the CISO title.
• You have taken security programmes from strategy through to delivery across multiple countries.
• Your technical grounding covers cloud, identity, operations and supplier risk.
• You are comfortable working with frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, NIS2 and GDPR.
• You win the confidence of senior stakeholders and can shift opinion at the top table.
• You hold a degree in a technical field, speak fluent English and are happy to travel.
