Tax Manager

Our client, an established investment business with a sizeable property portfolio across Germany and several other European markets, is looking for a Tax Manager to take ownership of income and transfer tax compliance for its real estate structures. This is a hands-on role at the centre of the group's tax function. You'll work closely with external advisers, auditors and internal stakeholders, and you'll help modernise how tax compliance is delivered through ongoing digitisation work.

The role:

• Managing income tax compliance for German property-holding entities, and for fund vehicles and companies in selected European jurisdictions.
• Handling real estate transfer tax matters in Germany.
• Preparing income tax provisions on a monthly basis.
• Acting as the main point of contact for tax authorities, including supporting the business through tax audits.
• Coordinating with external tax advisers in Germany and abroad.
• Supporting statutory and internal audit processes, including preparing the required documentation.
• Advising internal teams and external stakeholders such as investors and asset managers on tax questions.
• Contributing to projects that digitise and streamline tax compliance processes.

What you'll need:

• A degree in business administration or law, or a qualification as a tax specialist, business economist or tax adviser (Steuerberater).
• Around five years' experience in tax advisory or audit.
• Confidence communicating with a wide range of internal and external contacts, plus a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
• A meticulous, self-directed working style and a strong sense of ownership.
• Flexibility and genuine commitment to the role.
• Fluent German and English.
