Our client is looking for a Senior Tax Expert to join their tax function, focusing on product taxation and tax operations. You'll be the go-to source of tax expertise across the organisation - the central point of contact for product tax matters, staying ahead of legislative change and ensuring product-level compliance through close oversight of external advisors.
What you'll do:
- Act as the go-to contact for product tax matters, engaging with internal teams, clients, and external partners.
- Track tax legislation changes and assess their impact on the business and its products.
- Lead the rollout of tax-related changes across relevant operations, coordinating with external providers as needed.
- Maintain product-level tax compliance by overseeing external tax advisors and service providers.
What you'll bring:
- Qualified tax advisor (Steuerberater or equivalent).
- Degree-level education or equivalent.
- Around 5–6 years in a consulting environment with relevant sector knowledge.
- Understanding of end-to-end business processes and related tax considerations.
- Experience leading projects with a tax focus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Confident communicator with stakeholder management experience.
- Background overseeing external providers.
