Our client is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join their accounting team, ensuring financial reporting meets the highest quality standards.
The role is responsible for accurate accounting across group companies, independent preparation of annual financial statements, and acting as a key contact for complex accounting issues, while working closely with various business units and contributing to process improvement across the finance organisation.
The role
- Ensure proper accounting within monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, maintaining the quality of profit and loss and balance sheet accounts.
- Independently prepare annual financial statements for group companies, ensuring reliable and timely financial reporting.
- Handle complex accounting and bookkeeping topics, developing sound solutions and expanding professional expertise.
- Support internal stakeholders with accounting‑related issues and work closely with other departments.
- Ensure the reliability and consistency of financial data and contribute to compliance with accounting standards.
- Analyse existing processes, identify improvements, and design efficient end‑to‑end processes across functions.
- Take responsibility for the specialist area and support the continuous development of the accounting department.
What you'll need
- Several years of professional experience in financial accounting, ideally within an international company or group.
- Completed training or further education as a certified accountant, tax specialist, or comparable qualification.
- Sound knowledge in the preparation of financial statements and handling of complex accounting issues.
- Strong analytical skills with a structured, meticulous working style.
- Proactive, independent, and responsible approach to tasks.
- Strong cross‑departmental collaboration and team orientation.
- Hands‑on mentality, with a willingness to support day‑to‑day business and long‑term process development.
