Full-time Lawyer / Team Leader Claims (m/f/d) – Product Liability

About the Company

We are seeking a highly qualified Lawyer / Team Leader Claims to oversee and manage complex liability claims while leading a dedicated team of legal professionals. You will be leading 8 talented lawyers in the Claim Management and Product Liability department.

Your Role

• Manage and support high-profile liability claims , including product liability, vehicle recall, and product recall cases for an international clientele.
• Lead negotiations with insurers, claimants, and internal stakeholders , ensuring favorable outcomes.
• Provide strategic direction and leadership to a team of seven experienced lawyers .
• Oversee case distribution, workflow coordination, and process optimization within the claims department.
• Act as a subject-matter expert and mentor, supporting team members in handling complex legal issues.

Your Profile

• Fully qualified German lawyer with successful completion of the Second State Examination (Zweites Staatsexamen).
• Extensive professional experience in insurance law, liability claims management, or risk consulting .
• Background in either a specialist law firm or an international in-house company e.g. insurance company, automotive, etc.
• Proven leadership skills , with experience managing a team of legal professionals.
• Strong negotiation skills , resilience, and ability to manage high-pressure situations.
